Your New Career

Scout Talent is working with one of Canada's largest mining organizations for a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partnership!

To manage this contract, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Recruitment and Talent Sourcing Specialist to join our team. Operating on a hybrid work model, your time will be divided between Scout Talent and our partner's offices, both headquartered in downtown Vancouver, BC

Operating as a brand ambassador, you will build and maintain a network of candidates through proactive research, targeted content and messaging, and ongoing relationship management, while supporting the delivery of high-quality shortlists.

Some of your key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively identifying and developing robust and thorough talent maps
  • Advising and developing sourcing strategies to support future talent requirements within multiple portfolios
  • Providing valuable market intelligence to hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Utilizing multiple communication channels to develop and increase the active candidate pool, providing consistent EVP and values alignment with an emphasis on the candidate experience
  • Collaborating with the onsite team to identify sourcing challenges, define solutions, and manage hiring leader expectations
  • Working to increase diversity targets of other underrepresented groups, i.e. BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, Neurodiverse
  • Collating information, providing insights to internal stakeholders, capturing the content of candidate and market trends
  • Recognizing candidate shortage skills and advising the hiring community on the best approach to mitigate risk
  • Engaging in team development through learning and understanding best practice sourcing strategies to improve role deliverables
  • Seeking continuous improvement and optimization of sourcing methodologies to ensure high ROI

About You

To qualify, you'll be someone with 2+ years of related recruitment and sourcing experience, preferably in large organizations that require high-volume recruitment (in any industry).

You will be perfect for this role if you have:

  • Knowledge of applicable labour laws
  • Understanding of personal data in both the ‘public’ and ‘private’ domain (and associated legislation)
  • Knowledge of different search engine behaviors and SEOs
  • Knowledge of best practice recruitment techniques and tactics
  • Knowledge/experience in mining or comparable heavy industry is a strong asset
  • Qualifications in HR or significant experience in a comparable headhunting/executive research-type role 

As a relationship-builder, you will join us with the confidence and ability to nurture client and candidate partnerships, including liaising with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the organization. You are a great communicator and can work independently with minor supervision, while also being able to collaborate with the rest of the team and other stakeholders.
